On September 25, 2025, we convened the inaugural Splash FISSPAK Meeting, welcoming esteemed presidents and representatives from all founding societies. The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm as we embarked on this collaborative journey to enhance our research community.
The meeting kicked off with a warm welcome from our hosts, David and Al, setting the stage for a productive session. After approving the agenda in swift order, attendees delved into a brief introduction outlining the evolution of FISSPAK, led by David, Al, Jane, and Penny. This overview provided valuable context for our discussions ahead.
A highlight of the meeting was the introduction of members from various societies, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose. During an engaging discussion segment led by David and Al, participants exchanged innovative ideas for collaboration that promise to enrich our collective efforts.
We also brainstormed exciting concepts for a second “Splash” meeting and explored potential structures for dues that would support our initiatives long-term.
